About Nel's Bi-Lo Market

Our Roots

Nel's Bi-Lo Market has a rich history in Pocatello. Originally known as "The Little Chief" in the 40's and 50's, the store changed hands and was purchased by the Colaianni family in the late 1950's. The foundations of our family business were laid in 1957 when Ronald Nelson acquired a quaint grocery store on Pocatello's west side. This was the inception of a tradition rooted in dedication, family values, and unparalleled customer service.

Family Tradition

Our store has always been more than just a business; it's a family legacy. Todd Nelson, Ron's eldest son, absorbed these business ethics and worked alongside his father. In 1991, the baton was passed as Todd, together with his son-in-law Barry, bought Bi-Lo's, ensuring the family tradition lived on.

Present Day

Fast forward to 2009, Todd entrusted the reins of the store to Barry & Jacque Dutton. Their leadership has been instrumental in maintaining the essence of Nel's Bi-Lo – a place where Pocatello and Chubbuck residents can experience unparalleled quality service driven by family values. Today, we stand strong, holding on to our principles, treating every employee and customer as an extension of our family, and ensuring that top-notch customer service remains our trademark.
